You'll be please to note that, unlike many other places in the UK and abroad, you don't actually need a permit to film in the Scottish Borders!
However, it is in your interest to let us know where and when you are filming as we can provide in-depth local knowledge of the area and its scheduled events to ensure your shoot goes smoothly. Of course you must follow standard industry policy regarding the basic rules of health and safety and the right public insurance. We also appreciate it if you can show courtesy to members of the public and local businesses. If you are filming on private property you will need the owner's permission.
